The Origin Story

We Knew RV Sleep Was Bad.We Got Good at Mattresses.

RVing came first. Grandparents had us out on the road before we could read — and with it came the memory of those brutal factory RV mattresses every weekend taught you to tolerate.

The mattress side started in 2013 with brick-and-mortar stores. Within a couple years we were building our own luxury line — same caliber of foams, coils, and craftsmanship you'd pay $3,000–$4,000 for at retail, built to our spec.

In 2017 we combined both worlds. Wilderness RV Mattress launched with one focus: real luxury construction, cut to the odd sizes RV platforms actually have. The RV community made us their top choice — and now home customers are finding us too.

Every Wilderness mattress is cut, layered, sewn, inspected, and shipped from our facility in South Carolina. Same-spec foams and coils you'd find in a $3,000–$4,000 retail mattress — built to your exact RV dimensions.

Nothing overseas. No mystery foams. No substitutions to shave a few bucks off the bill of materials. The stuff that goes into your mattress is what we'd want under our own family.

Every mattress gets a final inspection before it ships. If we wouldn't put it in our own RV, we don't send it out.
